Bits and Strings

Big Earth Blues

Woke up that mornin', had a lot to do

I stepped outside, and made my way to you

It was hot that day, and we walked so far

We played in the woods, by that old junkyard

I felt so big, and felt so strong

When did it all go wrong?

I got the Big Earth Blues.

--

Woke up this mornin', got much more to do

I step outside, and make my way to you

Its hot today, but I don't even care

Car's got AC, its 68 in there

Speed limit? Got no regard

Zoomed right past that old junkyard

The world's on fire, oh yeah!

I got the Big Earth Blues.

--

I'll wake up tomorrow, with that much more to do

Drag myself outside, and make my way to you

It's hot today, my damn AC's busted

Can't drive as fast, with my engine rusted

But it's just cash, it ain't that hard

They dozed over that old junkyard

At least they're making jobs

I got the Big Earth Blues.
